Concrete mixer trucks are specialized vehicles for transporting concrete. During the transportation process, the concrete mixing drum can rotate slowly, which can effectively prevent the segregation of concrete and thus ensure the quality of concrete transportation.
The types of concrete mixer trucks are as follows:
(1) Concrete mixer trucks are classified into self-propelled and towable mixer trucks based on the structural form of their carrying chassis. Self-propelled ones use ordinary heavy-duty truck chassis, while towable ones use special towable chassis.
(2) Concrete mixer trucks are classified into mechanical transmission, fully hydraulic transmission and mechanical-hydraulic transmission concrete mixer trucks according to the transmission form of the mixing device.
(3) Concrete mixer trucks are classified into centralized drive mixer trucks and individual drive mixer trucks according to the drive form of the mixing drum.
(4) Concrete mixer trucks can be classified into small-sized ones (with a mixing capacity of less than 3 cubic meters), medium-sized ones (with a mixing capacity of 3 to 8 cubic meters), and large-sized ones (with a mixing capacity of over 8 cubic meters) based on their mixing capacity. Mid-sized vehicles are more versatile, especially those with a capacity of 6 cubic meters. It is the most commonly used.
